Chinese language vogue photographer apologizes after backlash over Dior work


HONG KONG — A Chinese language vogue photographer has apologized after backlash over work she did for French luxurious model Dior. 

The image featured a tan, freckled mannequin of Asian descent carrying conventional Chinese language clothes whereas holding a black Woman Dior bag. It was criticized for perpetuating Western stereotypes of East Asian faces and failing to signify magnificence requirements within the area, which usually favor fairer pores and skin and enormous eyes. 

The picture was faraway from show at a Dior vogue exhibition in Shanghai within the wake of the controversy.
